The Northern Health Speech and Language Program provides services for children from birth to kindergarten entry. These services are offered at NO COST to families.
The program actively includes parents and other caregivers in their child’s communication development, goal planning, and therapy activities.
Services consist of:
- Screenings
- Assessments
- Referrals to other services
- Group therapy
- Individual therapy
- Workshops/training for parents and community service providers
Referrals can be made by caregivers, family physicians, and other community service providers (e.g. daycares, preschools, public health). Referrals are accepted via fax, mail, phone call, or in-person at the address indicated on the referral form.
All Northern Health Speech-Language Pathologists are registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
