Rural, Remote and Indigenous Food Action grants

Raspberry bush laden with fruit

Northern Health (NH) and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) worked together to create the Rural, Remote and Indigenous Food Action grant to support community food action projects in Northern BC. The term Indigenous is inclusive of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples and this grant aims to support Indigenous food action.

This funding is part of a larger effort by the Province and Health Authority to strengthen food security in BC. Approximately five grants of up to $50,000 each are available for projects that focus on Indigenous food security and Indigenous food sovereignty.
