Prince George Maternity: A Virtual Tour

Are you, or a loved one, expecting a baby? Are you going to deliver at the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George?

Fourth year Nursing students from the University of Northern BC have put together a a virtual tour of the Maternity ward at UHNBC to help you prepare for your stay.

Information includes:

  • Finding the Maternity ward
  • What you should bring
  • What's available for your use
  • A guide to the assessment, delivery and postpartum rooms
  • Postpartum care
  • Cesarean deliveries
  • When your baby needs special care: the neonatal intensive care unit
  • Being discharged

Maternity Tours

Maternity unit tours are available to the public every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Drop-in's are welcome! Meet in the family waiting area of the maternity unit.
