It is important to note that access to all publicly subsidized assisted living units is through Northern Health’s Home and Community Care offices. However the same operators and buildings that have publicly subsidized assisted living available may also offer other units for private, non-subsidized rental. Information about private, non-subsidized accommodation is available directly from the operator.

A 2 unit wood structure, vinyl siding, weatherwise windows, wheelchair accessible, gas furnace. Individual units with outside entrances with a small porch area, commercial linoleum flooring, gyproc walls, good lighting, large doorways, walk in shower, larger bedroom, cupboards, stove & fridge in each unit. Has a fire exit at each end of the building plus from individual units.

Building Amenities:

Common area has a large window that looks out on the common courtyard with the other building, able to enjoy the fruit trees, flower bed, picnic area etc. Common area has a fridge, microwave, dinette, small sofa, & cupboards with some dishes. Has a separate storage area, laundry room, and wheelchair washroom. Has a small office area. Has an exit at each end of the building.

There are no bus routes or taxis.

Heritage Manor II is a three storey building with 24 units. There are 8 units per floor, and one suite which is wheelchair friendly. There is an onsite kitchen, and bathing unit.

Includes a cook for lunch and dinner meals, housekeeping once a week, activity coordinator, and personal care staff. Laundry is located on each floor. Lifeline is used as our emergency response system.

BC Housing maintains the building and all equipment.

Heritage Manor II is a secured building. You must have a key or request permission by using the keypad at the front door that is resident specific.

Residents/staff will not let uninvited visitors in.

Parking is located at the front of the building. Do not park under/near the catwalk - it is for emergency vehicles only. There are handicapped accessible spots available to tenants.

Heritage Manor II is located behind City Hall in Fort St John. It is two blocks from a local pharmacy and grocery store. The Senior’s Hall is located across the street. Heritage Manor II has a lovely outdoor space – and there is a senior’s garden/walking path at the corner of the property. HandiDart is available to take our residents to and from their appointments.

The local health unit is also located in this neighbourhood.
