- The Aboriginal Health program is part of the Northern Health's commitment to improving the health of Aboriginal people in Northern British Columbia.
- Executive Director of Aboriginal Health provides leadership to the process of developing health services appropriate for the Aboriginal residents of the region. Northern Health is responsible for the health delivery to all residents residing within the NH boundaries, and that includes First Nations, Inuit & Metis.

The Aboriginal Health Services Plan 2007 - 2010 includes five key objectives, each with a variety of strategies and activities. They are as follows:
