Preventing Burns and Scalds

Infants and children are curious by nature and love to explore the world around them but have a limited understanding of danger. This increases their risk of suffering from a scald or burn.

Children are also more vulnerable to injury from a burn because their skin is much thinner than an adult's and can burn up to 4 times quicker and deeper.
