Product Safety

While certain regulations and guidelines are in place to keep Canadians safe from consumer products, the reality is that there are many items available on the market that have the potential to cause serious injury, and in some cases death.

Beyond the more obvious issues with products such as walkers (which have been banned in Canada since 2004), there are many other products that are still available that parents, relatives, and caregivers should consider carefully before purchasing.

Consumer product safety includes recalls, warnings and advisories on a variety of items such as children's products, food products, cosmetics, pesticides, sports equipment, and more.
