2009 community consultations: Let's talk about primary health care!

Northern Health’s series of community meetings on primary health care has now concluded. Over 700 people attended the meetings, held in 23 communities across the north. Over 240 online and paper surveys were also submitted by those unable to attend in person.

We sincerely thank everyone for their input -- a report on the consultations will be available early in 2010.

Past community consultations

Northern Health held the community consultation titled "Let's Talk About Addictions and Mental Health", in May, June and July of 2007 - for the report, click here. This consultation was originally scheduled for 2006, but was postponed to avoid scheduling conflicts with the Premier's Consultation on Improved Cancer Care in Northern BC.

NH also conducted a consultation program, "Let's Talk About Health", across Northern British Columbia in 2004. This consultation provided a great deal of feedback that has shaped the operations and strategic direction of the organization.
